Alex Racey is the founder of First Principles Performance, LLC. As a Performance Consultant Alex has taken his love of leading and coaching and what he learned from 25 years of real-world experience in the United States Army, over 17 spent operating and leading small teams at the highest levels of US Army Special Operations Command, to craft a high-touch consulting service for executives and artists who realize that they are missing out on the benefits of feeling great physically, mentally and emotionally and how this affects every minute of their day whether at work, at home with family or even sleeping.
In 2013, Alex was specially selected to become his unit’s first Director of Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF). POTFF was a new US Special Operations Command enterprise solution designed to address performance deficiencies and bolster resilience throughout the special operations force structure. Alex spent over 3 years building and leading an integrated staff of over 20 providers focused on all aspects of human performance including physical, mental, spiritual and social performance.
When not working Alex enjoys spending time with his wife, Carly and their four kids, Will (15), Ava (13), Sam (11) and Luke (7), he also enjoys mountain biking, most other outdoor activities and training seven days a week.
